BA 471 Health Care Law
This course surveys current ethical and legal responsibilities of health care providers and administrators. Emphasis is placed upon Institutional defensive law (medical negligence and torts), health care regulation administrative law), patient confidentiality, informed consent and advanced directives, professional discipline, health care access, government health care policies, managed care, criminal fraud and abuse, patient rights, labor and employment law, environmental regulation, insurance law, public safety and homeland defense/terrorism.
