The Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Musicianship and Entrepreneur Development (CMED) offers a dynamic curriculum that prepares students to be employable, innovative creators with exceptional musicianship, entrepreneurial, marketing and business skills (critical areas that drive today’s music industry).
The course of study will incorporate the following:
- at least 30 hours must be at the 300 or 400 level. No more than 12 hours of university general education hours may be counted toward this requirement.
Program Outcomes
Students completing the Contemporary Musicianship and Entrepreneur Development program will be able to:
- design, develop and complete collaborative projects appropriate to their discipline and career goals;
- demonstrate music foundations central to the practice of contemporary musicianship;
- utilize design thinking to evaluate real-world problems; and
- promote original ideas by mastering oral and visual presentation skills.
