African American and Global Black Studies Minor

The minor in African American and Global Black Studies (AAG) prepares students to engage openly and civilly in a diverse and ever-changing global society. Students will learn about the history and evolution of the making and meaning of race and global expressions of black creative, social, religious and political thought. Students may select classes from various departments to create a course of study tailored to their personal and professional goals. 

Elective Courses:


Students must complete 4 additional courses according to the following: 

1) Students may take up to 9 credtis maximum per subject area.

2) Students must complete at least 2 courses at the 300 level or above.

3) Students may take up to 3 credits from one language (ASL 202, FR 202, GER 202, SPAN 202).
