The Bachelor of Music in Performance curriculum is designed for the exceptionally talented performer seeking a career as a concert artist. Exacting standards are required for such a career and performance students should plan to continue study at the graduate level.

Program Outcomes

Students completing the Bachelor of Music in Performance will be able to:

  • design, develop and complete collaborative projects appropriate to their discipline and career goals;
  • perform diverse repertoire with advanced levels of musicianship in solo and ensemble settings;
  • integrate knowledge of music theory, musical analysis and historical musical developments into the preparation and performance of repertoire; and
  • demonstrate entrepreneurial and technological skills required for the 21st Century classical performer.

Chamber Music Electives

Students’ placement in chamber ensembles is determined by the applied major instrument and by the instrumental faculty and Chamber Music Coordinator.
