The Information Technology (IT) Minor is designed to augment any other major by giving students the technical foundation and skills needed for an information-based workplace. Students complete coursework in IT Fundamentals, Cybersecurity and IT Ethics. Students then choose IT elective credits from a set of designated courses so that they may customize the minor to best align with their chosen career path and interests.
Pathways to complete the minor:
Students can complete the minor by following one of two paths. 1) Complete the foundation and elective courses listed above or 2) complete the Google IT Support Professional Certificate and pass the corresponding Shenandoah University certifying exam to earn up to 9 credits toward the IT minor (INT 101, CYBR 201, and CSC 301). Students must complete INT 304 and choose two electives from the list above. Contact the Director for more details.
