The Master of Music in Pedagogy - Voice curriculum prepares post-baccalaureate students for meaningful and satisfying careers as private voice teachers. The curriculum encompasses contemporary and classical functional training for the singing voice. Interdisciplinary courses targeting pedagogy, anatomy, technology, career skills and applied voice lessons provide the education required to succeed professionally as a voice pedagogue.
Program Outcomes
Students completing the Master of Music in Pedagogy degree will be able to:
- utilize voice science and related pedagogical concepts in the teaching of voice, and
- perform collaboratively at an advanced level of study commensurate with the master degree
Degree Requirements
The Master of Music in Pedagogy (Classical Voice Emphasis and Contemporary Commercial Music Voice Emphasis) degree requirement is 31 credits hours. An overall grade point average of 3.0 is required for graduation.
