The Data Science and Applied Mathematics major provides an interdisciplinary foundation in computer science, statistics and mathematics along with an in depth look at using data and mathematics in the real world. Data science and mathematics are applied fields critical in the modern workforce. Students will learn the essentials of computer science and how to apply these skills to analyze a wide variety of problems. Students will work on problems in the community and region, gaining hands on experience in applied math and data science.
