The esports major offers a wide variety of opportunities for students to develop both fundamental and in-depth knowledge within the esports discipline and related fields.  Students will participate in comprehensive, hands-on activities that will promote the development of technical skills used in esports and entertainment.

The esports major will prepare students to work in a wide variety of fields both in and related to esports.  Students will be able to specialize their education in a number of tracks and areas of focus to provide students the necessary knowledge to be successful in esports, but to also prepare them for a life outside of esports by giving them knowledge used across a variety of disciplines.

All esports majors will be encouraged to focus their elective courses to a specific field related to exercise science, computer science or business.  In addition to this focus, majors will have the option to select a track in either media and communication or management for in-depth specialization of the esports degree.

Esports is an ever-expanding field of work and has career options such as event managers, journalists, marketers, promoters, coaches, casters, streamers and trainers.  Students will be able to tailor their schedule to meet the demands of any of these fields in order to fit their goals and career aspirations.
