The undergraduate minor program in data science will provide students with datadriven decision-making skills required to meet the demands of the data-driven workplace. This program stems from the Mathematical Sciences Department; however, data science is interdisciplinary and reaches into all areas within the University. Students within any field of study should consider this minor a complement to their degree and an enhancement to their marketable skills after graduation. Students with a minor in data science from Shenandoah University will enter the workforce not only with increased quantitative abilities but with a strong foundation in the pillars of data science - statistical analysis, computer science and real-world experience.
