Our mission is to educate current and aspiring professionals for success in their chosen vocations; integrate theory, research and practice; promote academic rigor; and nurture reflection, a caring approach to the professions, and collaboration across and within the communities served by the university.
Shenandoah University’s Division of Education and Leadership offers master’s and certificate programs in leadership. Also offered are programs in education that meet Virginia Department of Education requirements for licensure.
Admission Process
The minimum requirements for admission to the graduate programs in the Division of Education and Leadership (DEL) at Shenandoah University are those listed under the requirements for Standard or Provisional Acceptance in the Admissions Guidelines section of this catalog. For DEL graduate programs that require submission of a teaching license, the minimum qualification for admission is a copy of the applicant’s current Virginia teaching license. In approved circumstances, a license can be accepted in lieu of transcripts because of the State of Virginia’s requirements for licensure.
Conditional Acceptance is not offered by the Division of Education and Leadership.
Please consult the Admissions Guidelines section of this catalog.
Program-specific admissions requirements are listed in the program descriptions below. See also the section “Admission Requirements for All Candidates for Teacher Licensure” in the Admissions Guidelines section of this catalog for general admissions requirements for these programs.
