BIO 360 Virology



This course will address the fundamental concepts of virology, including virus structure, replication, gene expression, transmission and evolution. Students will discuss the emergence, ecology and epidemiology of a number of viruses that significantly impact human populations. Through the analysis of primary literature, students will develop their critical thinking skills and a gain a deeper understanding of how viruses affect human health and ecological processes.
