CJ 224 Crime Scene Investigation
This course provides an introduction to the basic forensic procedures of crime scene investigation and how they are used to assist in criminal investigations. Students will learn the basic principles, scientific foundation and general procedures used for the collection, preservation and submission of physical evidence relevant to a crime scene investigation. This is not a laboratory course, but instead an introductory course that will provide a basic understanding of forensic procedures and the critical issues related to their use in an investigation.
