N 515 Emergency Preparedness and Disaster NursingThis course explores the health care response to a variety of disasters and naturally occurring phenomena that present public health emergencies. Types of disasters that are explored include environmental, mass casualty, naturally occurring infectious diseases, and acts of terrorism and bioterrorism. The course is designed to assist the student in developing competency in responding to disasters through emergency preparedness and disaster management. Permission of nursing faculty is required.
