PH 530 Fundamentals of Program EvaluationThis course provides students interested in
pursing careers in public health, or other health
professions, with an overview of program
evaluation. Students will learn about needs
assessments, formative research, process
evaluation, impact assessments and monitoring of
outputs and outcomes. Students will gain
practical experience through a series of
exercises involving the design of a conceptual
framework, development of indicators, analysis of
quantitative and qualitative data and the
development of an evaluation plan to measure
impact. Prerequisite: successful completion of PH
