NP 610 Primary Care of Families I

This course is designed to assist the student in developing advanced, specialized nursing knowledge, skills, values, meanings and experiences associated with positively influencing the lived health experience of adult men and women and the elderly. Students will explore the common chronic health and illness patterns presented by adults accessing care in an ambulatory care setting. Students will exercise critical thinking in the analysis of health patterns. Students will synthesize therapeutic nursing interventions including pharmacotherapeutics, appropriate diagnostic tests and health promotion strategies, to positively manage health in partnership with clients.
