This program is available to the BSN graduate seeking a terminal practice degree in nursing. The DNP program can be completed in three years of full time study (including summers) for 77 to 83 credits, dependent upon program track. Upon completion of the program of study, Advanced Practiced Registered Nurse (APRN) graduates will be eligible to take the certification exam appropriate for the specialty. APRN applicants must have completed at least 2080 hours of practice as a registered nurse prior to entering the role and population courses. Applicants to the DNP-HSL program are encouraged to have clinical practice experience and leadership experience in healthcare. Students can complete an APRN credential in FNP or PMHNP. Additionally, the DNP in Health Systems Leadership (HSL) is offered for registered nurses seeking to advance a career in leadership.
