The Bachelor of Music in Church Music curriculum is designed for students who wish to become full-time church musicians. The student electing this course of study may choose an applied major emphasis in organ or voice.
Program Outcomes
Students completing the Bachelor of Music in Church Music will be able to:
- design, develop and complete collaborative projects appropriate to their discipline and career goals;
- perform diverse repertoire with advanced levels of musicianship in solo and ensemble settings;
- rehearse and conduct a musical portion of a church service;
- integrate the knowledge of music theory, musical analysis, and historical musical developments into the preparation and performance of repertoire; and
- incorporate entrepreneurial and technological skills in their work as 21st- century church musicians.

Degree Total: 120 credits
*Minimum grade of “C” required. ^Piano Proficiency Examination is required to determine placement between the class piano sequence (APCP) and applied minor study (APPN).
