CJ 376 Sex Crimes



This class provides an introduction to the nature and extent of, theoretical explanations about, and social responses to sex crimes, as well as a review of social/legal policy. The purpose of this course is to define various categories of sex crimes, examine the relationship between societal myths and public attitudes about these crimes, and review the history, nature and effectiveness of the criminal justice system’s activity regarding these offenses.
