THDP 402 Rigging for the Stage



This course introduces students to the principles, systems and safety practices behind moving scenery, lighting and performers in a theatrical environment. The course covers both counterweight and automated rigging, hardware identification, load calculations, inspection procedures and safe operation protocols. Students work hands-on with common rigging equipment, learning how to install, maintain and troubleshoot systems used in professional theatres. Credit(s): 3
