THDP 322 Stage Properties II
This course provides an in-depth exploration of the design, construction and management of stage properties for theatrical productions. Students build upon foundational prop-making skills to research, design, fabricate and source complex props using a range of materials and techniques, including molding, casting, 3D fabrication and advanced finishing methods. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving, collaboration with design and production teams and adherence to professional standards of safety, efficiency and artistry. Through hands-on projects and participation in realized productions, students develop the technical proficiency and creative flexibility required of professional properties artisans. Credit(s): 3
