THDP 389 Advanced Lighting Design & Technology



This course builds on the foundational lighting design course THDP-240, emphasizing advanced methods of design, system integration and creative problem-solving. Students will apply complex design techniques, analyze production requirements and evaluate the relationship between artistic intent and technical execution. Projects will include designing complex lighting systems, advanced programming and the use of emerging lighting technologies. Through hands-on work and critique, students will create technically refined designs that demonstrate both artistic vision and technical proficiency in the area of lighting. Credit(s): 3
