AVS 211 Animal Anatomy and Physiology



This course covers theanatomy and physiology of animals, which is the study of how vertebrate animals (fish, birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals) work. Concepts that span multiple levels of organizations from cells and organ systems to whole organisms and species-level processes will be analyzed. Students will take a comparative approach to develop an understanding of the similarities and differences that exist among different species frequently encountered in animal health and veterinary practices.
