PH 360 Health Policy



This course is an introduction to health policy in the United States. Students will gain knowledge of the context and processes associated with formulating and implementing national health policy. Complexities of health policy problems at the federal, state, and local levels of government will be examined. Students will study past and present health policy issues, including social factors that influence policymaking processes. Students will develop the skills to approach a range of problems in the interdisciplinary field of public health, where major policy issues are constantly evolving. Credit(s): 3
