ENGR 101 Introduction to Engineering
This project-based course introduces students to the study and practice of engineering. Through real-world design challenges, students gain experience with problem formulation, solution refinement, prototyping, application of mathematics and science, computer software and programming, visualization, technical writing, oral presentation, resource estimation and teamwork. The course provides a foundation in engineering ethics and professional behavior and the relationship of technology to contemporary social issues. Other topics include professional engineering organizations and the history of technolgy.
