PHYS 351 Quantum Mechanics

This course is an introduction to the study of quantum mechanics, the physics of atomic and smaller sized systems. The course will develop the description of such systems in terms of quantum states and observables and their time evolution according to the Schrodinger equation. Applications and implications of the theory in a variety of contexts will be explored. Credit(s): 3

Prerequisite(s): Physics 221, Modern Physics

Math 302, Multivariable Calculus

Math 351, Differential Equations

Math 206, Linear Algebra
