PHYS 311 Thermal Physics



This course covers the physics of macroscopically large particles. The subject will be addressed by the methods of thermodynamics, which examines the bulk properties of such systems, and statistical mechanics, which is based upon the statistical properties of the underlying microscopic constituents. Credit(s): 3

Prerequisite(s): Physics 122, General Physics II
