ES 419 Creating Sustainable Communities



In this course, students will explore how to develop and implement innovative programs or products that enhance environmental sustainability and social well-being within the community. Using a systems thinking approach, students will analyze the interconnectedness of environmental challenges and community dynamics to create holistic, sustainable solutions. Hands-on, community-based projects will integrate principles from environmental science, natural resource management and social systems. Both solo and group projects will result in practical, impactful products or programs designed to benefit local citizens and promote long-term environmental sustainability. Credit(s): 4
