This course immerses students in the art of visual storytelling, blending fine arts and strategic communication. It explores how illustrations inform, entertain and persuade across various media, from books to web design. Students develop drawing, painting and digital media skills, engaging in exercises like character design, world-building and reimagining stories. Emphasizing visual language elements—shape, line, value and color—students learn to tell compelling stories without relying on text. Themes include storytelling, aesthetics, color theory and professional illustration practices.
