POLICY 4.18.3.3 - Step Three – dean


If the Step Two written response does not produce a resolution acceptable to all parties, the faculty member may advance the grievance to Step Three by indicating this desire on the Faculty Grievance Form (see end of this section). The Grievance Form must be submitted to the school/division dean within one week following the receipt of the Step Two reply. Following receipt of the grievance form, the dean shall meet with the faculty member within five business days. The dean may request the immediate supervisor be present; the faculty member may similarly request the presence of their chosen representative of the university community. The dean shall give the faculty member a third step written response on the grievance form within one week after the meeting.
