POLICY 4.12.7 - Family Educational Rights And Privacy Act Of 1974 (“Buckley
Amendment” Or “FERPA”) According to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (commonly
called the Buckley Amendment or FERPA), it is a violation of federal law to
reveal to those who have no need to know any evaluative information about a
student. The Registrar’s office provides detailed information for faculty regarding
FERPA regulations and compliance.
