POLICY 4.8.2.1 - Recruitment
The president of the university is responsible to the Board of Trustees for the appointment of teaching faculty. The president accepts recommendations from the provost for persons recruited to fill vacancies and new positions. The provost is assisted in this responsibility by deans/directors, department/division chairs, faculty members in the area concerned, and students.
Every attempt is made to recruit persons possessing appropriate academic credentials, acceptable recommendations, and personal goals that are in harmony with the university’s purpose.
