POLICY 4.1 - Appointment to Faculty Rank

At the time of initial appointment the provost, in consultation with the dean of the school/division, recommends to the president an assignment of rank to the new faculty member. Criteria are the same whether the person is full-time or part-time. Part-time faculty ranks are preceded by the term “adjunct”.
