PH 527 Program Planning and EvaluationThis course provides students interested in pursuing careers in public health, or other health professions, with the fundamentals of program planning and evaluation. Students will be provided with an overview of the steps needed to plan, implement and evaluate public health programs. Students learn about needs assessments, formative research, process evaluation, impact assessments and monitoring of outputs and outcomes. Students gain practical experience through a series of exercises involving the design of a conceptual framework, development of indicators, analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and the development of an evaluation plan to measure impact.
