PH 510 Biostatistics in Public Health The course will provide students with an
introduction to biostatistical methods and
applications. This course covers the basic tools
for collection, analysis and presentation of data
in all areas of public health. Topics covered
include: sampling and study design, descriptive
statistics, proportions, relative risks,
probability, estimation and hypothesis testing
applications, regression, and categorical data
analysis. Students will learn how to use a
computer program in order to quickly perform
statistical analyses in more complex situations.
