PH 330 Aging and Public Health



This course is an exploration of the needs and supports of older adults in today’s aging society. Through the lens of public health, students will examine issues involving functional competency, health and wellness among older adults. Policies, programs and institutions supporting acute and long-term care for the elderly will be studied. Students will develop a greater awareness of trends in aging as well as public health efforts to promote healthy aging. Credit(s): 3

Prerequisite(s): PH 101  or BIO 121
