MUPP 365 Vocal Repertoire for Pianists and Singers I
This course is a survey of vocal literature for pianists with a focus on solo and small ensemble song repertoire from its origins through the 18th century. This course emphasizes the role of the pianist as a collaborator and accompanist, the role of poetry and language in interpreting vocal repertoire, and accompanying challenges (including transposition).
