MUPP 304 The Musical Child
This course includes the study of chanting, singing, moving and playing in ensemble using voice, body percussion, pitched and unpitched percussion and recorder for elementary music classes. Instruction includes strategies that focus on composing, arranging and adapting music to meet the classroom needs and ability levels of school vocal/choral and general music students; skills in providing and directing creative experiences and improvising when necessary; and proficiency on appropriate accompanying instruments.
