SRVL 501 Public Service and Not-for-profit OrganizationsThis course utilizes service learning as a basis for learning. It is intended to foster and increase a sense of community involvement by graduate students with an emphasis on working with populations and the non-profit sector with whom the student may have had only some interaction. Analysis of the effectiveness of the non-profit with creation of an action plan presented to leaders of the non-profit is central to this course. For each credit hour, at least 15 hours in service in the community is required. Credit(s): 1, 2 or 3
