PHAR 625 Medicinal HerbsMedicinal Herbs will present students with information on plants that are or have been used as medicines or sources of medicines. We will discuss FDA regulations and the methods for preparing and using medicinal plants. Up to 40 plants will be covered in the course. The history, mechanism of action, clinical trials, in vivo and in vitro studies, known or possible drug interactions, and identification will be presented for each plant. Credit(s): 3
