PH 301 Epidemiology



Epidemiology is the basic science of public health, a discipline responsible for improving health and preventing disease in populations. This course will describe the study designs used to study disease in human populations, including randomized trials and four types of observational studies (cohort, case-control, cross-sectional and ecological) and provide an overview of basic analytic strategies used in public health settings.
