FIN 513 Investment and Portfolio ManagementThis course reviews the valuation of stocks,
bonds, futures, options, real estate and other
real and financial assets; risk, return and
liquidity and diversification in modern portfolio
theory; the efficient markets hypothesis; direct
versus indirect investing through mutual funds,
banks, insurance companies and pensions; the
securities industry; institutional considerations
facing trust managers and others. Not open to
students who took BA 420. Prerequisite: BAFI 517.
