MUTH 531 Psychology of MusicIn this course, students develop an understanding of the physiological, neurological, psychological, developmental and social foundations of music. This includes auditory processing and music perception, music cognition, developmental foundations of music learning, and disorders specifically related to music perception and processing. A study of the acoustics of music is incorporated into the course. Research in the psychology of music is surveyed and evaluated. Credit(s): 3
