MUPP 800 Comparative Vocal Teaching MethodsThis is a required course for the Doctor of Musical Arts in Pedagogy - Voice. The content includes the study of comparative pedagogical methods for the voice, exploring principles and practices from the 17th century through the 21st century. The study and application of essential components necessary to teach singing including issues of breath management, vocal registers, vowel modification and vocal styles will all be explored from the perspective of various pedagogues throughout history.
