MUPP 522 Functional Guitar Skills

The primary focus of this course is fundamentals of guitar playing. Students perform a basic repertoire of traditional, folk and popular songs with or without printed music. Many basic chords, strumming patterns and picking patterns are employed. Overall general care and use of the guitar is included. Individual research resulting in a term paper, or the equivalent, is expected. Open only to music therapy students. Credit(s): 1
