MULT 823 French Vocal Literature

An in-depth study of French vocal literature that emphasizes performance practices for this genre. Study of the fusion of poetry and music is included. Classwork is performance oriented with oral/lecture presentations required of all students. Composers studied include Berlioz, Duparc, Faure, Debussy, Ravel and Poulenc. Credit(s): 2
