Psychology, Occupational Therapy Guaranteed Admission (B.S.)

The B.S. in Psychology (guaranteed admission in Occupational Therapy specialization) is an accelerated program designed to provide students preadmitted
to the occupational therapy program with a concentration of coursework that emphasizes the development, biological and applied dimensions of psychology. Students gaining early admission to the Master’s in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program as incoming freshmen may earn their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology by completing a total of 90 undergraduate credit hours including all university general education and College of Arts & Sciences requirements as well as the Occupational Therapy prerequisites, 36 hours of designated psychology courses and one full year (30 credit hours) in the MSOT Program. To remain in this program, students must maintain a 3.2 GPA, receive a “C” or better in MSOT prerequisite classes and complete a total of 40 observation hours with a licensed occupational therapist before application to the MSOT program in their junior year.
