MULT 753 Music of the Classical Era

A survey of the developments in musical thought, compositional style and expression from approximately 1750 to 1827 and the death of Beethoven, that produced at its inception the innovative ideas of the style gallant and the Empfindsamer Stil, culminating in the great works of Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven.
