MUPP 376 Jazz Improvisation I

This course is devoted to the development of
improvisational skills for instrumental jazz
musicians. Through listening, transcribing, scale
and pattern practice, and readings in
jazz theory and jazz performance practice,
students will explore the creation of
improvised melodies in a jazz setting.
